A hysterical and sobering look at a gay, middle-aged couple trying to salvage their relationship in therapy hell.
Their second session is with Dr. Benjamin Benet, a bite-sized psychologist who practices his own technique: Couch Therapy. Which he created his own form of therapy. Ralph and Randy share feeling in short intervals that keep the comedy going up and down and all around.
Their third shrink is Dr. Joelle Jarrard (Erika Ervin from American Horror Story on the FX network). Her office is filled with toys for a kindergartner which does not see to make a difference to the boys.. She's a seven foot tall, whiskery sympathetic child psychologist who favors Randy and pushes Ralph to a psychotic breakdown.
Dr. Chaka Caplan's (Dalila Ali Rajah) touchy-freely calm approach goes out the window as Ralph and Randy turn her into a screaming, hand clapping shrew. As Randy almost kisses Ralph till he bleeds. Randy walks out and leaves Ralph in tears.
After Randy and Ralph do a disastrous "Go Fund Yourself" campaign. They fight about everything. I mean everything. Then they moronically decide to rob a bank (a la Dog Day Afternoon) to pay off their debt, and wind up in the slammer. And that's just the half of it.

We return to the scene of the crime after Ralph and Randy are thrown in jail after attempting to rob a Wells Fargo. They need to get enough money to get away from each other. Rita the social worker is on hand to help with a little therapy. But it does not work as they are thrown in the same cell to stop the other inmates from killing them in their sleep.
Randy's Father, Jerome (who Ralph insists is in the mafia) asks a power attorney for a favor she can't refuse. Randy realizes he has a Kinky, sex tape of the DA and himself. Randy's parents, Gerome and Gena blackmail the DA and the boys are released on a technicality. Exiting the jail, they fight and separate.
After loosing everything Randy's not-in-the-mafia-parents secure a one room apt. in the LGBTQIA Center, with the stipulation: he must to be a couple. Our entitled, self-obsessed power couple are back together and find it VERY challenging to adjust to their low-end, neighbors, rules and claustrophobic efficiency. They start Puppet Therapy and meet the very "sturdy" LGBTQ manager, Katt Kentucky and the sexy Chef, Eduardo.
Ralph and Randy are getting their nails done from the young They's instead of mentoring them. Katt reads them the riot act. Ralph's mother Goldie and Katt have a flirtation that goes way too far for Ralph. We also notice how sweet Katt is too Edwardo and not to Ralph and Randy.
Ralph comes home from his dream job at Wig World to find Randy having sex with a hot Greek boy. In "Wig Therapy" we find out Randy was hired by the owner, Raja to be Ralph's boss. Ralph quits and gets a new job in the Kitchen with the sexy LGBTQAI Chef, Eduardo.
Back in Workout Therapy we find out how the Ralph and Randy first met at Studio 54. Which are two totally different versions of the same night. Then, they have a bonding moment deleting all the tricks that are dead or dead to them from their iPhone's. The Rosebud Murders make headlines.
Randy sincerely tries to mentor young No-no as Ralph prepares for his date, or first day working in the kitchen. No-no sexually comes on to Randy, Eduardo comes on to Ralph and Randy comes on to Eduardo. Eduardo comes on to Ralph. Randy witnesses the intimacy and aggressively comes on to Eduardo.
It's the dance of couple death for our unlikely heroes, Ralph and Randy. They have a real-life Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, knock-down, dragged-out fight. They re-hash every injustice Ralph has every felt as Randy falls off the wagon. The ending will surprise everyone even Ralph and Randy.
