Episode 1

It's been almost six years since the Sterling First collapse. The failed housing scheme left retirees across the country, mostly in Western Australia, with huge financial losses. Many of those retirees faced homelessness, and as Cason Ho reports, some are still fighting to recoup their losses. Across the Pacific, museums and art galleries are in a battle for survival. Wild weather, funding shortfalls, and staffing limitations are putting thousands of valuable artefacts at risk. But a new program aims to help these institutions protect their priceless cultural heritage. Papua New Guinea correspondent Marian Faa reports. Australia's weary renters are being promised 80,000 new homes under a new federal policy to increase supply in the rental market. Known as Build to Rent, developers are given tax breaks to purpose-build rental apartments. Jason Om takes a closer look.
