P.T. Barnum's White Elephant and Forgotten History

After years of hoaxing, P.T. Barnum finally acquired a true legend with his white elephant, Toung Taloung. But, as he discovered, "white elephant" can have more than one meaning. Then, he then faced an unexpected struggle with another American circus entertainer about the validity of his white elephant in the "White Elephant War" which was fought in the press.
