Japan experienced a record-hot summer (tied with 2023) from June to August this year, with temperatures hotter than average by 1.76 degrees Celsius. Increasingly in the age of climate change, homes are getting too hot to tolerate, even with air conditioners running, as heat enters via windows and roofs, while the cool air accumulates near the floor.
