Gerti Bruckner hat es nicht leicht. Die Ehe mit ihrem Mann Bertl verliert sich in den immer gleichen Routinen und die anstehende Beförderung bekommt statt ihr ihre halb so alte Kollegin Heidi. Alles in allem nicht die beste Zeit, um sich gemeinsam mit ihrer jungen Vorgesetzten auch noch in einem Mordfall in ihrer direkten Nachbarschaft zu ermitteln, der nicht nur alte Geschichten wieder ans Tageslicht bringt – die Ermittlungen führen dabei auch näher an ihr Umfeld heran als ihr lieb ist.
