Le Comte de Monte-Cristo

Edmont Dantès, junger Kapitän aus Marseille, gerät zu Unrecht in das berüchtigte Gefängnis Chateau d’If, wo ihm aufgrund eines Komplotts lebenslange Haft droht. Von seinem Mitgefangenen Abbé Faria erfährt er von einem Schatz, den er bei seiner Flucht aus dem Gefängnis heben kann. Mit dem erlangten Reichtum übt er späte Rache an seinen Peinigern und belohnt jene, die ihm die Treue hielten.

Edmond Dantès est condamné pour une faute qu'il n'a pas commise. Une fois évadé, il se venge de ses ennemis en devenant le comte de Monte-Cristo.
