Samson, Gert and their friends arrive at a bungalow park to spend the holidays. Alberto decides to try on his new fur coat. When the Mayor and Van Leemhuyzen spot him through their blurry door glass, they fear a bear has come to eat them.
Gert shows off his beautiful Christmas tree and then leaves for a quick visit to the local store. Van Leemhuyzen takes advantage of his absence by taking a closer look at the tree-topper, but accidentally ends up breaking it into pieces.
The friends are about to have breakfast, but have to wait for Alberto, as it was his turn to go out for the baker's. When he returns, he declares he has fallen in love with the shop-girl. Meanwhile, Gert writes a love letter to Marlèneke.
During a fun evening with his friends, Gert plans to hold a brunch. Everyone agrees on going to bed early, so that Gert will be fit enough to prepare the meal. They all however fail to catch sleep and end up disturbing Gert's night rest.
Samson, Gert and their friends are unpacking their Christmas gifts. Everyone is happily surprised, except for Alberto, who got a pair of scissors. He would rather have Samson's bag of candy and soon dresses up like Santa to fix the mistake.
Van Leemhuyzen is tired of sharing a bungalow with the Mayor and moves to Samson and Gert's. The Mayor acts happy at first, but soon realizes he misses his secretary's company. He however refuses to make it up and seeks fun in other ways.
Samson is looking forward to Santa's arrival. Gert however realizes that Santa might not know they are spending Christmas far away from home. Alberto, the Mayor and Van Leemhuyzen feel sorry for Samson and each come up with a plan.
The Mayor is nervously working on his yearly Christmas speech. After giving it its final touch, he wants Van Leemhuyzen to drive him back to their home town. After learning the engine has broken down, Gert suggests to set up a live stream.
The Mayor and Van Leemhuyzen are going out hiking, while Gert prepares a delicious buffet to reward them. Alberto, hungry but lazy as always, calls it is unfair they will not be sharing the food. He soon comes up with a plan to cheat.
While the Mayor and Van Leemhuyzen want to spend a quiet afternoon, they are bothered by Alberto, who is staying in the bungalow next to theirs. When he refuses to suspend his singing practice, they make him believe he caused an avalanche.
The friends have bought Christmas presents for each other, but are not allowed to open them before tomorrow. Alberto is desperately curious about his gift and tries to have a look in advance. Gert and the Mayor decide to teach him a lesson.
Samson and Gert are being served two gastronomical menus, one by Alberto and one by the Mayor and Van Leemhuyzen. The team that is able to create the nicest meal and atmosphere, will obtain the privilege of preparing the New Year's dinner.
The holidays are ending and Samson, Gert and their friends are packing to return home. Van Leemhuyzen however ends up missing. While Alberto speaks of an abduction by aliens, the others take action. The Mayor soon records a search notice.
