In Hispania, Rome seeks revenge on the barbarians who fought alongside Hannibal in his failed campaign to end the Republic. Governor Galba almost annihilated the Lusitanians, a Celtic tribe from the west of the Iberian Peninsula. The survivors, who live as refugees in their own land, unite around the former pastor and leader Viriato and organize a resistance guerrilla against the Roman occupation. The barbarians take advantage of their knowledge of the terrain to continue the fight, while Vetilio launches a large-scale operation with the aim of hunting down the elusive rebel leader. The two sides meet in the Tribola forest for a fatal clash.
En Hispania, Roma busca vengarse de los bárbaros que lucharon junto a Aníbal en su fallida campaña para acabar con la República. El gobernador Galba casi aniquila a los lusitanos, una tribu celta del oeste de la península ibérica. Los supervivientes, que viven como refugiados en su propia tierra, se unen en torno al ex pastor y líder Viriato y organizan una guerrilla de resistencia contra la ocupación romana. Los bárbaros aprovechan su conocimiento del terreno para seguir adelante con la lucha, mientras que Vetilio lanza una operación a gran escala con el objetivo de cazar al elusivo líder rebelde. Los dos bandos coinciden en el bosque de Tribola para un choque fatal.

Die Barbaren nutzen ihre Ortskenntnis zu ihrem Vorteil, während Vitellius die Jagd auf ihren Anführer eröffnet. Im Wald von Tribola kommt es zu einer schicksalhaften Begegnung beider Seiten.
