Jan Wandelaar has set up his own shipping company, but fails to entice other 'Reders' to join him in the fight against Kwel and son. He finally decides to brave the worst weather possible on a job. Kees de Kaap falls overboard and is eaten by sharks.
Jan Wandelaar heeft zijn eigen rederij opgericht, maar slaagt er niet in andere 'Reders' te overtuigen zich bij hem aan te sluiten in de strijd tegen Kwel en zoon. Uiteindelijk besluit hij het slechtste weer te trotseren tijdens een klus. Kees de Kaap valt overboord en wordt opgegeten door haaien.
