Eine junge Frau hat Suizid begangen - davon ist zumindest die örtliche Polizei überzeugt. Rocher hegt jedoch berechtigte Zweifel. Als er gemeinsam mit Adèle in dem Umfeld der Toten die Ermittlungen aufnimmt, kommen beide einem brisanten Familiengeheimnis auf die Spur. Und dieses führt sie zu einem Verbrechen, das weit in der Vergangenheit liegt und nie bestraft wurde.
