ईदगाह

चार वर्ष का अनाथ हमीद ईद के मेले में तीन पैसे लेकर जाता है। दूसरे बच्चे खिलौने और मिठाइयाँ खरीदते हैं; हमीद लालच से बचते हुए अपनी दादी अमीना के लिए चिमटा खरीदता है ताकि रोटी बनाते समय उनके हाथ न जलें। दोस्त उसका मज़ाक उड़ाते हैं, मगर दादी उसकी समझदारी और त्याग पर भाव‑विभोर हो जाती हैं.

Four‑year‑old orphan Hamid attends the Eid fair with only three paisa. While his friends buy sweets and toys, he resists temptation and buys a pair of tongs for his grandmother Amina so she will not burn her hands making bread. His friends laugh at him, but when he presents the gift his grandmother is moved to tears.
