Hatoko is invited to Jurai's house to make dinner for him and his sister, but gets downhearted when Jurai decides to stay at school to talk with Tomoyo about her writing. Hatoko gets angry at Jurai when he refuses to tell him what he talked about with Tomoyo and snaps at him, going on a rant about how she just can't understand his chunibyo behavior before running off. As Jurai goes off in search for Hatoko, he worries that he might have been putting stress on her the entire time, but Tomoyo slaps some sense into him and helps him search. Meanwhile, Hatoko comes across another Chunibyo, who teaches her not to worry about not being able to under chunibyo, before using his own power to knock Hatoko unconscious. With Jurai having no luck in finding Hatoko, Sayumi decides to bring her Root of Origin to the next stage in order to find her.
部活でラノベの執筆大会をした日、安藤は姉の真智の提案により鳩子を家に呼ぶことになる。ところが安藤はスランプに陥っている灯代の相談に乗るため、鳩子を先に家に返す。安藤の帰宅後、やたらと「何を灯代と話してたのか」と聞いて来る鳩子に、「お前には判らないこと」と言う安藤。その言葉にキレた鳩子は溜め込んでいたことや安藤への不満を一気に捲し立て、そのまま家を飛び出して行ってしまう。
慌てて鳩子を追いかける安藤だが、これまでの鳩子と自分の関係を見つめ直し、今まで自分は鳩子の負担になっていたのではないかと自信を失う。しかし灯代や彩弓に励まされ、『鳩子を大切だと思う気持ちは本物』ということに誇りを持って再び鳩子を探しに向かおうとする。そんな安藤に、彩弓は考えがあると言う。一方鳩子は、走っている間に迷子になり、川沿いで桐生と遭遇。なぜかお互いの悩みを相談し合っていた。桐生から「きっと君は彼に選ばれたかったんだ」と言われ、初めて自分の気持ちに気付く鳩子だが、そこに桐生の怪し気な仲間たちが現れ、鳩子は桐生らの異能で失神させられてしまう。

El club de literatura participará en un concurso de novelas ligeras y a Tomoyo se le ocurre un tema. Andou trabaja para ayudar a Tomoyo a determinar como puede sobrepasar las dificultades de la escritura y los retrasos, de camino a casa, donde Hatoko está ayudando a su familia a preparar la cena.
Hatoko est invitée chez Jurai pour préparer le dîner pour lui et sa sœur, mais elle est découragée lorsque Jurai décide de rester à l'école pour parler avec Tomoyo de son écriture.
