Nick asks Erica why she wants to see Phil and suggests she leave him alone. She accepts the challenge asking what he intends to do about it. He promises he can make life very unpleasant for her and chastises her for hurting other people just because her father walked out on her. His words cut her to bone. She sharply insists her father walked out on her mother, not his daughter, and he loves her. Nick continues to denigrate her father's love and vows to do this every time Erica attempts to hurt Phil or Tara. Erica once again recalls overhearing Nick confess to being Phil's father.
