Tara tells Grandma Kate about her visit with Phil and his cold attitude. Ruth discusses Amy's strange behavior with Linc who promises he'll take care of Amy and they will be all right in time. Anne confides in Linc that she plans to be in New York at least two months since Joe Martin isn't in love with her and probably never will be. Linc loses his temper with Phoebe over her questioning Amy about why Nick is suddenly anxious to leave town. Tara admits to Anne she's hurt by Phil's refusal to share his pain with her. Linc arrives home and finds Amy's farewell letter to him.
