Tom Cruise is an American actor who rose to fame in the 1980s starring in such films as "Risky Business," "Top Gun," and "Days of Thunder." Since 1996, Cruise has reprised the role of Ethan Hunt in the "Mission Impossible" franchise. He won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Academy Award for the role of Ron Kovic in the film "Born on the Fourth of July," and another Golden Globe and Oscar nomination for "Jerry Maguire," as well as the 1999 drama "Magnolia."
