Which is exactly what we've done with our Moussaka. This Greek style dish is packed full of flavour but is much easier to make than a traditional moussaka. We've removed the white sauce and replaced it with a feta, mint and breadcrumb topping to create that fantastic crispy texture!

Whoopie Pies are all the craze... They might even be catching up with the cupcake phenomena! So here is our version of the american favourites! Stick with us on this one, yes... We're using a can of cola to help marinade out steak... No we're not mental, honest!! Marinades for steaks don't come much better than this recipe. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, this is our take on a fantastic American dessert. Pumpkin is a vegetable that lends itself really well to sweet dishes. We top it with candied pecans to add a bit of extra crunch to the beautifully smooth pumpkin mixture.
This sweet dessert is not for the faint hearted. We pipe out crispy and chewy individual meringues before filling them with a chocolate cream cheese. Then to cut through all the sugar, we add some fresh juicy pears.

They are talking sense though, promise! We get help from Michelle Cozens in making the world's most expensive cupcakes... maybe...
Duck isn't the first meat you'd associate with Christmas but it's a worthy alternative to turkey or goose and it goes perfectly with sweet, spiced mulled wine. We serve our duck with brussels but instead of cooking them whole we've shredded them, which is a great way of introducing them to people who aren't convinced about how good they can taste!
We've substituted summer berries for winter fruits and Christmassy spices to make a seasonal version of our awesome summer pudding. We also switched bread out for sweet panettone for an extra special Italian treat!

Don't worry though, you'll actually only need about 20 minutes work, then let the ingredients do all the hard stuff to make the most incredible beef! It's worth the wait!

Turns out Ben thinks we bully him quite a lot... So to get some revenge, he's feeding us some Chinese delicacies! These are all perfectly legitimate foods, and are really popular in some parts of the world... But it's fair to say that our Western tastes aren't used to them.
These simple fish cakes are the ideal starter to a homemade Thai meal. Authentic in flavour, yet simple to make. Oh... and the dipping sauce... one you'll be using time and time again for all sorts of dishes!

This week in the Sorted kitchen we spotlight some incredibly refreshing drinks mixed by Rebecca Seal. This is a Mojito-style cocktail, but made into a punch so you can serve it up at a party with minimum fuss. If you want to be really fancy, switch all or some of the soda water for cava or dry sparkling wine. The trick with punch is to balance the sweet, sour and boozy notes and to prevent it getting too dilute. So don't make enormous quantities all at once unless you know your friends are always very thirsty! If it sits about for hours it will get wetter and warmer as the ice melts, and much less tasty.
Are you ready to get your geek on?! In celebration of Geek Week on YouTube we had a visit from the Earth Unplugged channel to play around with some slo-motion food experiments.

Your friends then go through the same process and give 3 pieces away to their friends and so on and so on and so on... Until we take over the world with cake!!

This dish is a family favourite all over the world, but isn't eaten much in the UK... So we had to ask for your help in getting the perfect recipe, and you excelled yourselves! A combination of pork and beef cooked in a casing of bacon with the flavours of apple, walnut and blue cheese makes this a dish to be proud of. You'll be wanting to make this asap, especially when you see the egg in the middle!!
Have you made a New Year's resolution to go on a diet and get healthy? This dish could be right up your street... Raw cooking has become really popular recently, and it's not hard to see why... Who enjoys a spot of afternoon tea? These little French cakes might traditionally be lemon, vanilla or orange... but when we wanted to recreate some little madeleines, we thought we'd ask for your suggestions. Green tea and white chocolate was an incredible idea that we simply couldn't refuse. So after some testing... this is what we came up with. Enjoy!
It was only going to be so long... Finally, Ben got his way and managed to get a proper Quiche on to SORTED!
We know you love it when we get out of the Sorted kitchen, so when Lea & Perrins invited us up to their factory in Worcester, how could we turn it down? Plus, this was the perfect opportunity to impress Ben by actually learning real things about Worcestershire Sauce and the town of Worcester... And we did an EXCELLENT job!
This Crème brûlée recipe will give you everything you look for in a dessert however, we've thrown in an unusual 'passion-fruity' twist thanks to your suggestions.
Sandwiches are eaten in their millions everyday in the UK. But none are as good as this!! We've take one of the most popular sandwiches in the world, the classic BLT, and shifted it up a gear. Not only do we bake our own tomato bread, but we also give it an Italian twist with basil mayo and indulge in a little mozzarella too. Is it traditional? Not a chance... Is it tasty? You bet it is!!
Cheesecake is great, popsicles are great. So why the HELICOPTER haven't we combined the two before?! Well the time has come and we add some really cool citrus fruits to inject some vibrant colour and flavour into this spectacular conglomeration.
EyeCandy is BACK and we're starting savoury! We know what you're thinking... This is pure, unadulterated hardcore prawn... And you wouldn't be wrong! In fact, this is the KING of prawn, and he's brought along some gorgeous homemade tagliatelle with him for good measure... Whatever you do, don't let your mum catch you watching this... ;-)
Family dinners don't get much better than this... We've been trying to work out if Toad in the Hole is a British thing... Have you had it before? Our version, thanks to you, includes venison sausages and shows how simple it can be to make Yorkshire puddings!
Happy Chinese New Year from us at Sorted... It's the year of the horse, and we think it's going to be incredible... We have amazing plans up our sleeves!! In the meantime though, give these a go, homemade fortune cookies so that you can create your very own personalised messages for friends and family.

OR sit back, imagine you're on a tropical beach and enjoy this awesome combination of flavours for yourself! :D
It's cheesecake time again! Yep, we've done a fair few before... a simple search for "SortedFood Cheesecake" will bring up plenty! But this one is delicious again... made with a unique base and complete with the flavours of every classic tiramisu dessert it's a sure fire winner. You will be wanting to make this one!
If you think a cheese board after a meal is a bit too mature for you then have a go at our little mice. They make a variety of cheeses more playful and are perfect for packed lunch too.
We've been accused of making this series too sensual. So for this one we've reigned it in... slightly! We kick start with two nice ripe pears and treat them well with a glass of rich red wine along with a few warming and comforting colours, flavours and smells from the spices. Perfect on any cold evening. Something simple to impress that looks absolutely stunning... proper EyeCandy.
For the next few Friday's we've decided to make things personal. After years of cooking hundreds of recipes at the request of thousands of you guys we're cooking up the type of food we love to eat from our very own homes, and we know you'll love them too! This week, we start at Jamie's house... Jamie has always been a fan of big "man food". When eating out in restaurants he'll often opt for steak, burgers or ribs. So when designing a dish perfect for him... it had to be sticky ribs from his Honeymoon trip. And what's bigger and better than pork ribs? Beef ribs of course!
If you struggle to decide what to eat when watching a film then let us solve your problem for you! Why not bung them all into one amazing morsel! popcorn, pretzels, chocolate and even marshmallows! Whether you wrap these up as a gift for a friend or loved one or munch on them with mates during a movie night... they are a definite win!
When it comes to food porn, Ben insisted that Morocco had to feature! An array of colours, textures and flavours that does justice to incredible food from any souk. If you're waiting for the wobbly knee moment... it's both the saffron steeping and chicken char-grilling!
This dish brings back a lot of memories for Barry. When he worked in Switzerland this was a firm favourite when he returned from a long day on the slopes. Proper comfort food and stacked full of energy... a swiss potato rosti is unbelievably delicious considering the simplicity of its ingredients! What food brings back memories for you?
This one even surprised us! But a generous dollop of a secret ingredient (mayonnaise) in the cake mix makes the lightest and fluffiest sponge ever! Combined with the flavours of banana and cardamom it's a definite winner. To make it FridgeCam material we bung it in a monkey cake tin and dress barry up in a very special outfit!
Popcorn... should it be sweet or salty? Or how about both? Here we make a maple caramel and finish with with smoked sea salt. Drizzle that over freshly popped corn kernels and serve with a thick malted vanilla milkshake and you'll never be able to watch a film again without some! Sticky, sweet and lip-smackingly good!
Fancy a change from fajitas? This baked enchilada recipe is great to make in advance. The wraps are packed full of beans and vegetables as well, making it a cheaper, healthy and filling option too! If this doesn't become a favourite at home then we've failed!
Mike leads an active lifestyle and is trying to bulk up at the moment. He needs all the protein he can get and few more calories a day than the average guy. He moans about spending loads of money on protein bars/shakes and that, although they do the job, they taste awful. So we've come up with our own recipe to keep him happy.
This sandwich was rumoured to be the King of Rock 'n' Roll's absolute favourite. Elvis once boarded a 3 hour flight to Denver just to eat the sandwich with friends before returning home. We figured if it was that good, we should give it a go for another musical legend we know... Chester See! Except our version is a little neater, with multiple layers of bread, peanut butter, jelly and bacon.
This homemade Thai curry is so simple and easy to make. It's packed with potatoes so you don't fork out on too much beef. The slow cooked meat melts in your mouth and is a dish that will really impress. Go on, beat the takeaway and make this for yourself!
We've made feijoada once before but that was kind of a cheat. This time we've looked into it properly, with your help, and given it our best shot... it's almost traditional! Hopefully this celebrates Brazil's national dish a little more accurately and is a good way to kick start this Brazilian series, but we'd love to hear what you guys think of it...
Smoked fish and fennel...what a winning combination. This frittata recipe is perfect for making the day before and tastes great hot or cold. Perfect for lunchboxes, buffets or to take on picnics. This is an ideal recipe for using leftover pasta and as ever... a little goes a long way. Just two fillets of haddock is enough to feed 4-6 people with this dish.
Do you enjoy rich and indulgent desserts on restaurant menus but don't think you can recreate them at home? This soufflé recipe is stupidly easy and only uses 5 ingredients. The winning combination of chocolate and mint gives this recipe an awesome SORTED twist.
Jamie loves a good curry and he insisted that if we're making a dish personal to him... then it had to be his favourite! This chicken tikka masala is the closest you'll get to the restaurant version without a tandoor oven. A few tips and ingredients, including smoked salt, cashew nuts and natural yoghurt make this spot on. Cook it and tuck in for yourself if you have any doubts!
We've done stacks of delicious pancakes over the years, but this one might just top the lot. The cinnamon bun meets fluffy American-style pancake. Win! Which pancakes will you be giving a go this year?

This Vatapá is incredible. It's unlike any other dish we've ever cooked. A vibrant thick stew with its roots in African cuisine, it's now a favourite in the northeast of Brazil. A creamy and nutty flavour with a slight kick from chilli, tang from the lime and a hearty shrimpy taste. Complete with our twist of pan fried prawns and seabass it's fit for anyone and everyone to enjoy!
Fed up with having the same boring tomato soup? This warming soup is rich, creamy and the butterbeans make it filling too... not to mention a health kick from the broccoli. We also use stale bread for the dunkers so no more throwing away unwanted bread. Talk about quick, easy and tasty!
Parsnip... in a cake? Hear us out... Carrot cake is one of the most popular cakes around, and this takes it to a whole new level! The parsnips add a natural sweetness to the cake, meaning it ends up moist, fruity and delicious!
Barry has taken hundreds, if not thousands, of photographs of food over the years at Sorted... and he gets a bit fed up when recipes look "food-coloured"... so this dish has been designed to play up to the bright and unsuspecting colours that ingredients can be. Including golden beetroot and blood oranges!
This hearty pork dish is filling and super tasty. Pork shoulder is a cheap cut of meat that goes a long way so this meal is not only light on the wallet, but also great when you're cooking for a large group of people. If you have any left over it can be frozen as a meal next week too.
The internet loves rainbows... EVERYONE loves pasta! Why not combine the two?! We've done rainbow coloured stuff before, but it's always been sweet, or needed loads of syrup drizzled over the top. This time we tackle savoury and cook up some delicious tasting bright coloured pasta. Not exactly all the colours in the rainbow but wow do they look good!
Crème brûlée always looks fantastic in a restaurant, but can be scary to make at home, right? Wrong! This easy recipe for the classic french dessert is flavoured with orange and cardomom. And just wait until your guests find the secret orange segments at the bottom of the dish!
This pudim de laranja is a light and very refreshing dessert has origins in Portugal, using a French cooking method and is now loved in Brazil. The zesty and fairly alcoholic papaya and cachaça salad served beside it (optional... you could just use lime and sugar) makes it awesomely tropical!
It's midweek and you can't be bothered to cook something - it happens to all of us! This recipe takes some already cooked jacket potatoes and combines them with some flavours you like... we went for cheese, ham, mushroom, to create a quick delicious midweek meal!
A roast dinner is the perfect Sunday meal - but it can sometimes be a bit too heavy. So we've come up with this Lemon and Thyme Roast, which is much lighter and a hell of a lot easier than a traditional roast. The fruity mash and roasted root vegetables will ensure all the family will love it!
Mike wanted a protein heavy breakfast that could be a healthier alternative to a fry-up... which he claims he might chose as his final meal on earth! This is what we came up with, subtly spiced egg with smoky bacon cooked inside of an edible ramekin and finished with fresh avocado. Mike is in food heaven!
This recipe could be served as breakfast, brunch, lunch or even dinner. Using leftover mashed potato, this tasty fishcake is topped with a runny poached egg... so no need to make a sauce! With few ingredients this recipe is easy, quick, healthy and most importantly... full of flavour.

Rich, heavenly chocolate cake with a hint of Guinness and a gorgeous Guinness frosting that'll have you running for the end of the rainbow!
The chimichurri sauce may have started in Argentina, but it's popular in Brazil too. Served over a beautifully rare and charred steak with homemade cassava chips and our twist on a coleslaw with a few Brazilian flavours this one puts a smile on everybody's face.
This was the first recipe Ben was taught at Catering College all those years ago... an amazing puff pastry slice with a raspberry and almond filling, drizzled with icing. It's perfect as a dessert or just with a cup of tea. Go on and treat yourself.
Jamie's second home (aside from twitter) could be considered Spain. He's holidayed there for years. And his love of Tapas, chorizo and fresh fish comes as a result of that. Which is why this dish pretty much sums him up!
Spring is finally here in the UK, which means it's time for Ben to get gardening! Or in this case to plant a few seeds inside of his flower pot breads and rest them into his edible herb garden allotment!

We've played around with the wonders of a Portmanteaus before with the likes of Cronuts and Ramen Burger but we thought we should up our game! So for our 100th FridgeCam... how about combining 3 things into one treat! The humble apple pie, collides with a toffee apple and is wrapped up with delicious chewy cinnamon cookie dough. Toffee Apple Cookie Pie... we couldn't come up with anything more catchy to call it... can you?

Yoghurts are good at any time of the day - and this is perfect for breakfast or a light dessert! Mike struggles to get a good meal in the morning, so this does a great job of getting him all the protein he needs to do... well, whatever it is Mike does during the day!!
It's coming up to Easter, so we're on a bit of a chocolate mission at the moment... And these brownies might just send us over the edge! Taking a pretty simple chocolate brownie recipe and adding in a Creme Egg is a moment of pure genius that we're sure Ben's stolen from somewhere, but we don't blame him... They taste amazing!! We might even give him an Easter Egg as a reward!! Haha!

Packed with flavours that sit in the cupboard, fridge or freezer for a week or two until you need them and cooked in a microwave in well under 5 minutes what's not to like? Actually, what's not to love?
This marinade for some BBQ pork has a chinese influence and is made up using a number of bottled ingredients and spices that most of us have kicking around in the cupboard anyway. Everyone has their own favourite topping for a pizza... but who's considered a sweet option? We’re on a mission to find the Internet’s ultimate burger, and our first stop is to go and chat to our best mate, Jim Chapman and define what we think a burger actually is. Jim asked for a Mexican-inspired burger, so we played Chilli Roulette to work out how spicy we should make it for him.. Sorry mate!
The Mexican Burger: a home-baked, fluffy and sweet cornbread bun encasing a bed of smoky and spiced black beans cooked in ham stock. On top sits slow-cooked, melt in the mouth, chilli brisket of beef topped with crunchy salty corn chips, fresh, tangy, chunky guacamole and a dollop of cooling sour cream. Served up with a side of sweet, spicy and crunchy corn.
A beautifully simple and humble recipe for shortbread, made with vanilla sugar and scented with lemon zest. Shaped into the pieces from the game Tetris and topped off with 7 different fresh fruits... it makes it quite a puzzling biscuit. Seriously tasty... seriously nerdy!
This is a whole new level of awesome. Inspired by the brilliant recipe by danger on the SORTEDfood app, we've made the most flamin' amazing salmon pho, and it tastes as good as it looks.
On our mission to find the internet’s ultimate burger, we chat to Fleur De Force to see how cuisines from around the world can influence amazing burgers, plus we play a very stupid but funny game with her!
The Sushi Burger: Crispy golden sushi rice ‘buns’ flavoured with the sweetness of mirin sandwich fresh tuna and wasabi patties. Ribbons of crunchy and vibrant rice wine vinegar pickled cucumber and radish turn these sliders into a mouthwatering 'LA meets Japan'-inspired burger. Finished with a drizzle of a salty orange and soy glaze and plenty of tangy citrus yuzu mayo, these sliders will definitely take some beating.
The sticky, soft, chewy sweet is usually incredibly floral with the flavours of rose water or orange blossom... but our version takes a green twist with Pandan extract and elderflower. Whether you know of it from Narnia or street markets and stalls across Europe and North Africa... when dusted in icing sugar and cornflour everybody wants a square!
We apologies in advance for using the 'M' word in this video... but the cake sure is moist! If you've ever suffered from dry cake that either you've baked or a friend has for you then this video is for you. Inspired by the texan sheet cake and topped with a honey ganache and candied pecans it's will become a firm favourite in every household.
On our mission to find the internet’s ultimate burger, we invade Grace Helbig's home to find out what her perfect burger would be. This week... it's all about the bun! Plus we play a very ridiculous game with Grace! You won't be un-see this one... you have been warned!
A black pepper and fresh thyme criss-cross baked jacket potato forms the burger ‘bun’ here. This lacto-free and bread free burger is not for the faint-hearted! An impressively-sized beef burger seasoned with mustard powder and draped with a sunny side up fried egg sits in between. To cut through the richness enjoy slices of juicy beef tomato, some homemade cider vinegar pickled red onions infused with star anise, cloves and peppercorns and a generous dollop of creamy dill mayonnaise. You may need a knife and fork… but you sure won’t want to leave any on the plate! It's elegantly trashy!
Following two requests from Mitchell Davis we thought we'd have a go at combining both. Barry couldn't manage it alone, so with the rest of the team away James stepped up to the plate and delivered this beauty!
This method of dry cooking some rubbed pork ribs over a tray of steaming apple juice then finishing on a flaming BBQ makes not only for tasty ribs... but an awesome EyeCandy video. And best of all... it wasn't our idea... it came from 'portrait_cook' on the SortedFood App.
Week 4 of the burger quest and we tackle the big question... does a burger need cheese? So far, our first 3 burgers haven't... but it's time to change that! We team up with Chester See to create the ultimate burger for him, but not before playing a very cheesy game!
All conjured up for Chester See... A soft brioche bun, glazed with maple and finished with bacon crumb holds the all American burger. 100% home-ground beef seasoned with salt and pepper is shaped into a 1/2 pounder, and topped with a duo of molten and oozing Monterey Jack and blue cheese as well as three rashers of crispy streaky bacon. All this is cleverly balanced out by fresh raw red onion rings, oak leaf lettuce and lashings of homemade tangy and sour chive ranch dressing. To hold it together it’s spiked with a skewer, but not any old skewer, one laden with 3 crispy, golden southern fried peppers.
This has been suggested a number of times and with the launch of the new "MasterChef: The professionals" series this week we thought we'd challenge Ben to conjure up a meal with zero preparation and a bunch of ingredients chosen by you guys... hold on tight... it's a bumpy ride!
Does this recipe need any introduction? The one thing the perfect Grilled Cheese needs is great bread, so we show you how to make an incredible loaf!
In week 5 we team up with the ultimate 'internetainers' Rhett and Link to not only find out about their perfect burger... but also to play a game. Barry and Jamie come up with a strangely familiar game format and put it to the test... the big question... Won't it Burger?
This towering stack is best shared!!! At the base is a battered and deep-fried slice of creamy, cheesy macaroni pasta. A dollop of spicy homemade tomato and eggplant ketchup is spread upon the base and topped with ample fresh peppery rocket leaves. Next, strips of juicy chicken thigh meat slowly braised in pepsi, smoked paprika, garlic and onions, then shaped and rolled in bacon breadcrumbs before deep-frying for a crispy coating. Another battered macaroni slice completes this monstrosity. Rhett's has added cheese (as if there wasn't already enough) and plenty of fiery heat from red chillies and sriracha.
Errrmmm... well what can we say, it was Mike's idea and we all got roped into it!

A lightly toasted english muffin stands proudly on the plate topped with a spoonful of tangy vodka and tomato braised onions. Above this, nestles a vodka flambéed double stack of beef patties seasoned heavily with Worcestershire sauce and celery salt, sandwiching slices of oozing cheese. Topped with pickled matchsticks of crunchy celery, and plenty of hot and fiery Tabasco and chive mayonnaise capped with the lid of the toasted muffin. With a chilled glass of Bloody Mary on the side this’ll get your day off to a proper start!

Barry and Jamie find out what Flula would like in his burger, Barry giggles like a little girl as Flula creates his very unique style of rap, whilst back in the Beefy Boudoir the lads discuss their own personal burgers created from travel memories.
The base of a crusty white roll glazed and baked with egg white for the extra shine kick starts this German-inspired burger. Next up plenty of German mustard-spiked sour cream and then the star of the burger... the flattened German pork meatball spiced with flavours from the classic Lebkuchen biscuit and covered in schnitzel-style golden fried breadcrumbs. Topped with slithers of grilled salami, then raw crunchy red cabbage followed by tangy sauerkraut. Before the lid of the shiny roll, the burger is completed with a split, char-grilled Bavarian frankfurter and sweet caramelised onions.
This is one of the most comforting Christmassy desserts ever! And, better still, we constructed it using ingredients left over from our Xmas shoot. If you don't get too distracted by Mike in the background then you'll love it!
Let's welcome Nikki Phillippi to the Burger Quest! Today another of Barry's creative games... we pair up burgers with YouTubers... who would you have chosen?
This gorgeous vegetarian burger begins with a soft, freshly baked sourdough roll and then we spread on plenty of zesty chickpea hummus blitzed up with toasted sesame oil. The pattie itself is a spiced and herby sweet potato falafel and nestled on top of that is a split roasted red romano pepper filled with oozing goats cheese. For the fresh, healthy crutch to top the burger we offer a tossed salad made with julienne of tomato, yellow pepper and onion, lightly dressing in lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and picked leaves of coriander.
After 8 weeks of creating unique and bespoke burgers for awesome YouTubers and drooling over all of your burger uploads we have finally crowned a winner!

We’re taking on the ultimate pressure test: recreating each other’s mum’s home-cooked dishes… without offending them. Each of us brought in a dish made by our own mum - food we’ve grown up with, know inside-out, and absolutely should not mess up. We then swapped dishes and had to recreate them in a cook-off using only taste and appearance as our guide. No recipes. No instructions. And very high emotional stakes.
